Dividers of heating costs are used for the distribution of heating costs for an individual housing unit. It is used above all in buildings, where the installation of heat energy meters isn’t possible, because all radiators in an individual housing unit aren’t tied to one heating loop, but are tied vertically. Heat cost allocators (HCA) are installed on every radiator, in every housing unit and are fixed with regard to the type of the radiator. For ribbed radiators, an adequate adapter is used for fixation, while the divider can be fixed on panel radiators with glue or welding.
The HCA assesses the use of heat on the individual radiator, but must be appropriately configured (entry of factors of the heating appliance, etc). One of the benefits of the HCAs from SONTEX is the new technology of measurement with two sensors, because the HCA also measures the smallest temperature changes and there are no considerable deviations and errors. All HCAs are battery charged and have a lifespan of at least 10 years, with only one 3V lithium battery.
The HCAs Sontex 555 and 556 Radio meet all requirements for the precise distribution of heating costs. Due to the double sensor technology, the heat dividers perceive even the smallest temperature differences between the radiator and the surroundings, also in systems with a low heating temperature. The devices distinguish also between the heat of the heating appliance and sun exposure. This means that there is no incorrect assessment of data on energy consumption.
Simple reading of consumption
The consumption can be read manually on the 6-digit LCD display by pressing the menu key or through an optical interface.
Optical interface
All recorded data and parameters can be read or transferred via an optical interface to a PC or PDA with free software.
Remote reading with heat cost allocators Sontex 556 Radio
The HCA Sontex 556 Radio is equipped with reliable two-way radio technology. Radio technology Sontex is distinguished above all by large range and reliable data transfer through a radio signal.
Remote radio reading
Sontex 556 is equipped with two-way radio technology Sontex. In the “walk by” mode, the reader is equipped with a mobile radio modem and PDA, while in the stationary network data can be transferred to the stationary installed radio central in the same object. We can connect onto the central with almost every possible and known connection, through cable or wireless communication technology (for instance, M-Bus, GSM).
Radio interface
All recorded data (safe two parameters) can be read and processed through a two-way radio interface with free software, which is enclosed to the radio equipment.
